Fridge Trailer Hire FAQ

Here we answer some of the most commonly asked questions about our refrigerated trailers.

How does the fridge trailer plug in?
13 amp domestic plug or round 16 amp typical generator supply. 

Do you supply the lead to power the fridge?
Yes and domestic adapter.

Do you set the fridge up for me?
Yes.

Once plugged in, how long does it take for the fridge to start working?
After a few minutes delay it takes approximately 30 min for it to get down to 3 degrees. Approximately 1 hour to -20 degrees. 

What access do I need for the fridge trailer to be driven into the site?
Enough for a S U V and large trailer.

How tall are the fridge trailers?
2.8m high.

What length are the fridge trailers including the tow bar?
Add on 1.5m to the length.

Does the fridge trailer come with shelves?
Ours do F O C.

Do the doors of the fridge trailer need to be kept shut, how long can they remain open for?
Only a few minutes.

Do you do the delivery of the fridge trailers?
Yes.

Do you have freezer trailers available for hire?
Yes.

Where are the doors situated on the fridge trailers?
Always at the rear.

Do I need to put the contents inside the fridge before turning it on & also turn it off before removing
any remaining contents, at the end of the hire, to avoid the doors being open for long periods?
Yes, that would be wise.

What happens if the doors are left open for too long, whilst the fridge trailer has the power on?
It freezes up and stops working 

Do the doors on the fridge trailer have locks on, should I need to leave it unattended?
The door has a lock provided and locks onto the hitch. The hirer is responsible for any theft of the trailer and any damage.

Do the fridge trailers have lights inside them?
Yes.
